Simply put, Jussie Smollett should not go to jail for what appears to be, an elaborate hoax. Right now that’s what we are seeing all over social media. I personally do not like how much input social media has in these matters. It would actually suck to see him go to jail for this, when white people pull elaborate hoaxes and remain Scott Free.

An ever changing story that seems to have finally arrived at a conclusion, that this was purely a hoax, for attention. But should he go to jail for this? I say no, which is not popular at this time. Hear me out though. Did we put Barbecue Becky in jail for calling the police on black people, having a cookout at the park?
How many of us called for the lady at Starbucks to be put in jail, for calling the cops on the black men there to meet a real estate agent? Instead they closed starbucks for a day and retrained employees; no one was sent to jail…. We wrote about there here at SoPoCo, and those black men forgave the white woman. When looking out over social media however, I see people (of all races) calling for the arrest of Jussie Smollett.
We don’t keep the same energy when it comes to whites lying to police.

I’m looking for a clip from 13th Documentary on Netflix, where one of the guests explains how blacks often HELP white supremacy. Too often, blacks are the main ones calling for the arrest of a fellow black person. I think it’s because blacks have a moral desire to do what is right, for the most part. Thinking about ‘race first” is just not the black person’s way of life. Black people tend to think about ‘all people’, not just themselves. A lot went into making black people that way, but does it benefit black people??
This approach to fighting for ‘all groups’ of people, isn’t really working out for black people. In fact, initially this attack on Jussie was used to smear Straight black men. Several outlets stated straight black males were not speaking up for him. Now that it appears the entire story was a lie, the straight black male community awaits an apology, that most likely will never come.

As we begin to ask this question of politicians we must also ask each other. Until this nation starts to do right by us, how cooperative should we really be with their ‘legal’ system? Discussions like Tangibles2020 and FirstThem have started to influence how I am viewing these matters. Perhaps you will take a moment to consider this as well. Until this nation starts putting whites in jail for lying to the police ….
I won’t be calling for them to lock up this black man.

**** Update as of March 26, 2019 – All Charges against Jussie have been dropped.
Once again, making the Police look like the crooks they are. With so many people who need to be charged with crimes and prosecuted, why did they go after Jussie? All while others get ignored? Will the college scam scandal result in actual jailtime for anyone involved there? We already know what happens to blacks who commit school scams. When will Lady Justice ‘truly’ be blind? …..
Perhaps, when America gets there … so will she.
